The Wednesday Word, a leaflet about each Sunday's gospel to be shared by parents and children in primary 5, 6 & 7. If you have a child in this age group not at St. John's and you would like to be included, please contact Lousie Redwood 669 4459. Examples of the leaflet for adults on home page.

RCIA Enquiry Group - If you know of anyone who wants to know more about being a Catholic or wants to find a way of making contact again, all will be warmly welcomed to informal gatherings on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm in the Presbytery at 3 Sandford Gardens.

Thursday Club meets every Thursday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in the parish hall. Everyone welcome & volunteers needed.

Youth Ministry Each month in St. Giles (city) deanery there is a time for young people to come together to celebrate and share their faith at the Gillis centre - an opportunity to participate at Mass, discover new ways of praying, to encounter the living God and to make new friends in the city. Children's Liturgy needs people to join the team. Each person leads the liturgy 2 or 3 times a (school) term and new members would be welcomed, supported and mentored. If you would like an informal chat about this please contact Oonagh O'Brien on 669 5315 or e-mail oonagh@atlas.co.uk.

The Homeless. Can you spare 2 hours per month to assist at Jericho House, either from 8:30am to 10:30am to set up and prepare or from noon to 1:30pm on Sunday every 4 weeks. Please contact Jim Roarty on 669 0896.

SVDP meets every Sunday after 10am Mass at 11:30am, please come along and join. If anyone is aware of any need or knows of someone who would welcome a visit or a weeks holiday at Seton Sands caravan park, please put their names and contact details in the post box at the back of the church. Fairtrade stall still needs volunteers - Contact Paul Bevan - 258 0042 PLEASE. We are a Fairtrade parish, please try to use these products whenever possible.

The shop in the Baptistery provides a variety of cards, religious gifts and books for different occasions, run by our Legion of Mary members - It is open after Mass on Saturdays and Sundays, and sometimes also on weekdays.
