Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray
O God, Who has taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit; grant, that by the light of the same Spirit, we may be always truly wise, and ever rejoice in his consolation. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Confiteor
I confess to Almighty God, to Blessed Mary ever a virgin, to blessed Michael the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and to all the Saints, that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word and deed, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I beseech the Blessed Mary ever a virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel, blessed John the Baptist, the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints to pray to the Lord our God for me. Amen.
The Beatitudes (Matt 5: 3-10)
Blessed are the poor in spirit; the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
Blessed are the patient; they shall inherit the land.
Blessed are those who mourn; they shall be comforted.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for holiness; they shall have their fill.
Blessed are the merciful; they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart; they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be counted the children of God.
Blessed are those who suffer persecution in the cause of right; the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
